About
Our Allergy – Mold Profile Plus, IgE test is designed to detect specific IgE antibodies in your blood, which can indicate an allergic sensitization to common molds. This test includes:
M1 – Penicillium chrysogenum
M2 – Cladosporium herbarum
M3 – Aspergillus fumigatus
M4 – Mucor racemosus
M6 – Alternaria alternata
These molds are commonly found in indoor and outdoor environments. A positive result indicates that your immune system has produced IgE antibodies in response to one or more of these molds. However, it's important to note that a positive result doesn't always mean you're experiencing active allergy symptoms.
This test helps your healthcare provider assess potential mold allergies. It's crucial to discuss your results with your doctor, who can interpret them in the context of your symptoms and medical history to determine the best course of action.
